Our Expat Residential range could be suitable for your expat clients who want to purchase a residential home in the UK for their family to live in or use as a base when they return. Here's how we helped Claire with an Expat Residential solution

Meet Claire…

Claire is a UK National living in the UK and working for an international company who pay her in USD. She’s looking to buy her first home but has struggled to find a lender that will help due to the fact she’s paid in a foreign currency.

What is Claire’s lending problem?

Claire needs a lender who’ll consider her as a first-time buyer and accept her income is in USD. She has a basic salary but the majority of her wage comes in the form of overtime and commission which can fluctuate which is also part of the reason why she’s struggled to find a lender.
The property she’s found has a large acreage over 16 acres with an annex on the land to be used as a holiday let.

What was our solution?

We were happy to accept Claire’s application on the basis of her receiving her income in USD and earning overtime/commission income, which we took an average of. The property was also acceptable, even with the high acreage and detached holiday let annex.
