My career experience so far

I joined the Marsden at 18, so that makes me a jack of all trades, master of all - accounts, savings, mortgage, Branch Manager and now BDA.

What I love most about my current role

My team is great - very fun, very positive and we want to adapt in new ways in 2025 to take the business further! It also helps that I work with some amazing firms who I learn a lot from, so I try to repay that by getting deals over the line.

What motivates me at work

I left my role as Branch Manager after 7 years to jump into something new, so there’s plenty of personal determination to make an impact. Also, I’m quite loud and enjoy making people laugh, so the side mission is to prove that you can be authentically yourself AND be successful.

My hobbies outside of work

I'm a regular away follower of Burnley FC and still playing football at 31 locally. I enjoy anything social, but then in solitude I'm blessed with countryside, so a lot of walking and taking pictures of it. My record was in 2022, I clocked about 315 miles in a month!

A fun fact about me

I've had many mad moments. Once when diving on holiday, I was filming a stingray with my GoPro and ironically got stung by sea coral behind me - two injections and a wild golf cart ride to the hotel doctor later, I was good to go and back filming an octopus by late afternoon.

A topic I could talk about for hours

I talk for hours EVERY day, getting me to stop is the challenge. If you start me on vitamins or human behaviour, LOCK IN.

My pets

Two dogs. A small one from Yorkshire and a white curly one from Romania. I picked one, one picked me.

Tea or coffee

Coffee! Generally switching throughout the day between normal, iced and one made from mushrooms. Really!

Favourite film

The Gentlemen is a belter. Not a film, but you’ll catch Charlotte and I quoting Gavin and Stacey A LOT in the office with her Welsh roots. "I AM THE GNOCCHI”
